Canola is also known as Rapeseed and Rapiska. The canola plant is an oilseed plant containing 38-50% oil and 16-24% protein. Canola meal is obtained by grinding the remaining product (residue) after extracting the o,il from canola seeds by solvent extraction method.
It is an important raw material in the feed industry. It is used as a protein source in all livestock rations. Canola meal contains high amount of amino acids. For this reason, it is important in the nutrition of ruminant animals.
